Fiona is an associate in the Civil Litigation Practice Group and the Condominium Law Practice Group.

In her general civil litigation practice, Fiona represents clients in a wide range of matters involving contractual, commercial, and real estate disputes. She also routinely assists condominium corporations involved in litigation and represents her condominium clients in mediation and arbitration, as well as before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Condominium Authority Tribunal (the “CAT”). Fiona has experience assisting condominiums with a variety of disputes such as construction deficiencies, oppression applications, human rights complaints, dangerous activities, nuisance, pets, noise, unapproved changes, tenancies, common expense arrears, powers of sale, and shared facilities. Fiona is also actively involved in the Canadian Condominium Institute (“CCI”) Grand River and Golden Horseshoe Chapters as well as the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (“ACMO”).

After completing her undergraduate studies in history and criminology at Western University, Fiona remained at Western University to obtain her Juris Doctor degree. While completing her studies, Fiona volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and a local centre for Indigenous peoples to implement alternative dispute resolution. In her final year of law school, she was selected to represent Western Law as an orator at the 2021 Warren K. Winkler Class Actions Moot held in Toronto. During the summers, Fiona volunteered at the Guelph Food Bank and international wildlife centres.

Fiona joined SV Law in 2020 as a summer student and continued to complete her articles with the firm. She is now excited to continue living and working in her hometown of Guelph. When outside the office, Fiona enjoys hiking with her English Springer Spaniel, camping, and travelling. She has visited six continents so far, but her favourite place to visit is Scotland where her family resides.
