Nicola Melchers is SV Law’s current managing partner and has been a Partner since 2013. Nicola maintains an active solicitor’s practice applying her extensive UK experience to her legal work in Ontario. Her specialties include business law, real estate law, wills and estates and land development.
Nicola qualified as a Solicitor in the UK in 1994 and worked in private practice for four years before moving to Lotus Cars International Ltd. as in-house counsel. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009 and she joined SV Law after articling with a national firm in Kitchener.
Nicola holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of East Anglia in the UK and attended the College of Law in Guildford where she ranked in the top 5% of students passing the Solicitors’ Finals Examinations.
Nicola is a resident of Cambridge and is very active in the communities of Guelph and Cambridge; she has previously served on the Campaign Cabinet of the United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries, the Board of Directors of the Child Witness Centre and Boards of Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge Rehabilitation Homes and the Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Foundation.
