Nelson is a member of the Civil Litigation practice group. He has appeared as counsel in matters before all levels of court in Ontario and various tribunals. He has experience representing clients in the following areas:
Commercial Litigation: Acting for individuals and corporations in cases involving shareholder, contractual, and leasing disputes.
Real Estate Litigation: Acting for sellers and buyers in failed real estate transactions; Acting for owners in partition and sale of properties; Acting for lenders and borrowers in power of sale proceedings.
Construction Litigation: Acting for owners, tenants, and contractors in disputes involving construction liens and construction deficiencies.
Franchise Law: Providing sound advice to franchisors and franchisees concerning disclosure compliance and rescission remedies under the Arthur Wishart Act (Franchise Disclosure), 2000.
Appeal: Acting for clients in appeals from administrative tribunal, arbitration, and trial decisions.
Nelson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, and his law degree from Queen’s University. Since 2022, Nelson has been serving on the Board of the Legal Clinic of Guelph and Wellington County.
Nelson is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. In his spare time, Nelson enjoys exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations in Japan, improving his ski technique, and supporting his beloved football team Arsenal F.C.
