Jen has a solicitor’s practice focused on Municipal, Planning & Land Development Law, with related work in Real Estate Law.
Jen works with public and private clients, including municipalities, school boards, developers, and property owners.
She regularly assists clients with land acquisition and disposition; Planning Act consents (including severances); land development processes and agreements; commercial leasing; debenture financing; by-law and policy drafting; public procurement; municipal services corporations, and; general legal advice on municipal governance and procedures.
Prior to being called to the bar, Jen completed her articles at SV Law. She obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, graduating with distinction, and holds a Juris Doctor from Western University. During both her undergraduate and law degrees, Jen worked as a research assistant in the areas of biomechanics and healthcare law & policy, respectively. She also worked as a teaching assistant for a Health Law course, co-chaired the Health Law Association, and was an editor for Western Law’s Journal of Legal Studies. Jen is a game enthusiast and grew up in Caledonia on her family’s farm.
