Biography
Richard (Rick) Gazzola practiced law for over 40 years, focusing on real estate law, family law, labour and criminal law, personal injury claims, and construction liens.
He joined the firm as a partner in 1978 after initially practising as a sole practitioner in Guelph, Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering and a law degree from the University of Windsor, and was called to the Bar in 1974. Prior to entering the legal profession, Rick worked as a tool and die maker, graduating from Ford Trade School, and went on to practise as a Professional Engineer in Ontario for 10 years.
Rick has long been active in his community. He served as the Honorary Italian Vice-Consul and as a trustee of the Wellington Catholic District School Board for 44 years. He was also a longtime member of the Guelph Minor Hockey Referees Association and the Guelph Minor Hockey Association.
A lifelong supporter of local sport, Rick coached minor baseball and played for the Leamington Flyers in his youth.
In addition to his professional and community commitments, Rick enjoys beekeeping and gardening.
Rick retired from practice in 2012.
